Students in the Shelby County NAHB Chapter Win 4th Place in National Building Competition!

For the last two years Perry Lyons, one of our owners and partners here at P.L. Lyons Architectural Builders, has lead a team of students from Shelby County High School in a national building competition. Last year the team placed 3rd in the competition. This year we had another great showing, and are so proud of our students, mostly underclassman, for winning 4th place (out of 34) in the construction technology program at the International Builder’s show in Las Vegas! We are excited to be going to the International Builder’s Show on January 19-21 in Las Vegas. Perry will be attending this year to check out new products in the building industry. He will be taking some education seminars and participating in the codes and standards committee meetings and government affairs meetings. Every year, the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville presents the “Builder of the Year” award at their holiday party, and this year, our very own Perry Lyons was chosen! A lot of exciting things are happening in preparation for Homearama 2016. Construction has begun in River Crest, and the first Homearama 2016 home is already for sale! This year Homearama 2016 will feature homes at two different sites: River Crest and Norton Commons. The Building Industry Association is working on a ticket option for people who want to tour both sites on different days.
