Top Paint Colors 2017

Part of making your house a home is choosing a paint color that not only fits your style but also is on par with the classic color trends.

Last year after Homearama, we shared the paint colors that were used in our homes. If you want a glimpse at some of the colors that we have used in the past you can download the previous color guides here and here.

We wanted to share some of the colors that have caught our eye over the beginning months of the year.

Grays:

Over the last few years, gray hues have been gracing the walls of homes. Chosen right, this paint color can add warmth to an otherwise cold room.

Psychology of Gray:

It is conventional, dependable and practical. It is a color of maturity and responsibility,

Blue Gray:

Another spin on the grays that hit the scene last year, is this blue-gray color.

Psychology of Blue Gray:

Taupe

This taupe is a step beyond the boring beige that you are used to seeing on walls.

Psychology of Taupe:

Down-to-earth color signifying stability, structure, and support. It is the color of security, protection and material wealth.

Warm Yellow

Yellows are making a statement this year on the paint scene. We have even seen some homeowners go as far as to paint their wood floors that color!

Psychology of Yellow:

Yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, remembrance, intellect, honor, loyalty, and joy.

We are curious, which color has caught your eye this year?
