Pint-Sized Playhouse up For Bid; Profits Benefit Charity

There is no grand entry way or pocket office off the garage, but the pint-sized “home” built for kiddos by PL Lyons is sure to be an award winner in every category. This is the first year builder Perry Lyons designed, built, and completely finished a small playhouse to benefit the Building Industry Charitable Foundation (BICF).

The one-room, fully trimmed, painted, and functional playhouse is on display near the center of Homearama 2014 in Shake’s Run this year. The first person to make a donation to the BICF that hits a specified monetary goal, will walk away with this playhouse. All donations are 100% tax deductible and 100% of your donation will go directly to the Building Industries Charitable Foundation and will help fund the Kosair Kids Playhouses that are built by BIA and Youth Build.

The BIA has previously built playhouses for individual children involved with Kosair, but this is the first fundraiser they have done at the Homearama. Perry Lyons says his hope in building this playhouse is to start a tradition that would encourage eight to ten other builders to compete in a yearly challenge to outbid the others and score more money for BICF’s Kosair Charities Playhouse projects.

For more information or to view this first-year traditional playhouse, stop by this year’s Homearama July 12-27 in the Shake’s Run community in Fisherville, place a bid, and help make dreams come true for the precious children of Kosair Charities.
