The final awards for Homearama 2017 have been announced by The Building Industry Association (BIA) of Greater Louisville. This is an organization that we are extremely proud to be a part of and work with. Homearama is always a huge milestone for our business and we were especially proud of the homes we built this year and for the great turnout, ticket sales, and enthusiasm.

The BIA is a professional trade association and is dedicated to the principle that the American dream of home ownership is central to the community’s spirit and well-being and the ability to realize this dream must be preserved for all generations. Their mission is reflected in their commitment to continuous improvement by providing excellence in programs and services to meet the members diverse needs and in order to provide quality housing for all citizens within our community.
The BIA has humble roots.Their first meeting in 1946 had 18 people in attendance. Today, the organization has grown to be the second largest association of business members in the National Association of Home Builders Federation. The BIA of Greater Louisville now includes more than 2,000 member companies, corporations and individuals involved in residential and commercial building and development, product development, services and sales industry.
P.L. Lyons has a long history with BIA, Perry was even a past President of the BIA, and we look forward to continuing to work with such a great organization.
P.L. Lyons Homearama Awards
The Homearama Grand Award Winners were selected by the public who toured each of the homes and were asked to vote for their favorites in different categories. Voting took place onsite at the Poplar Woods homes. We were recognized by BIA for two awards with house #4! We received Best Home Design for Kitchen Cabinets and Best Home Design for Concrete.
