I advised the clients that reconfiguring the existing space was a very good strategy if it could be accomplished in a manner that suited them. However, this can not always be accomplished, and in some cases adding on is the best solution.
In the end, we were able to turn the playroom into a huge master bedroom, a former bedroom into the master bath, and the former bathroom into a spacious walk-in closet.
We also suggested built-in cabinets and night stands at the head of the master bed. Finally, a skylight that automatically opened and closed was added over the master bed, allowing the clients to see the stars at night.
The tile, colors, and décor of the project have a very clean and crisp feel with cool gray tones prevalent throughout. One of the many features of the remodel that stands out is the bathtub — when you turn the handles, water falls from the ceiling to fill up the bathtub (see image below)!
Overall, this project is a great example of how professional architects and designers can help you save money by reworking an existing floor plan.
